Makhura speaks about PPE tender scandal

Gauteng Premier David Makhura says the personal protective equipment scandal is the first of its kind in the province. He was responding to allegations linked to a R125 million tender allegedly involving some high ranking provincial government officials. Makhura says there’s been clean governance in Gauteng for the past six years as a result of the open tender system. Makhura says there is no doubt the PPE tender scandal has tainted the good work done by the provincial government.
