Sunken treasure found at bottom of Mediterranean Sea

This is the moment Italian police divers find a haul of gold coins that were part of a sunken treasure estimated to have been lost at the bottom of the sea for over 300 years. The find is believed to be "one of the most important finds in the Mediterranean Sea ever." They also found fragments of three ceramic amphorae, a sword sheath, and a fragment of ceramic decorated with enamel and one of metal, all of which are believed to date back to Roman times, at the bottom of the sea. The discovery was made at the Gulf of Orosei in the province of Nuoro in the Italian island of Sardinia, the second-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea after Sicily. It is believed the gold coins were part of a treasure trove that sunk with the unnamed ship hundreds of years ago and were only now spotted by an unnamed German tourist, who then told police about the find and told them where to search for more.
