As India continues to battle the Coronavirus Pandemic, the country has reached another grim milestone. India has reported the biggest single-day jump of 77,266 Covid cases in the 24 hours. The fresh cases have pushed the country's coronavirus tally to 33,87,500 cases. While 1,057 deaths were reported in last 24 hours taking the total death toll to 61,529. 25,83,948 patients have recovered from the infection in the country, taking the recovery rate to 76.27 per cent. Maharashtra remains the hardest-hit state in the pandemic. It reported 14,857 fresh cases, taking the state tally to 7,33,568. Maharashtra is followed by Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Tamil Nadu, the second worst-hit state, reported 5,981 fresh COVID-19 cases and the total count has now shot up to 4,03,24.
