Woman Rescues Injured Bald Eagle From the Woods
This woman and her team rescued a female bald eagle from the woods. They took her to their care facility and rehabilitated her with medication, treatments, food, etc. When she was nursed back to health, she was released into the wild where she took flight promptly.

02:48just north of Honor, Michigan.
02:50This is a female
02:52and you can tell
02:54mainly because of the brood patch
02:56she has right here.
02:58So she's
03:00either incubating
03:02eggs or
03:04newly hatched
03:06chicks, which is
03:08very unfortunate because
03:10this bird was caught
03:12in a lakehole trap.
03:14So this foot here
03:16is very discolored
03:18and unresponsive
03:20to any kind of
03:22movement.
03:24There's nothing,
03:26no pain reflex there.
03:28The other one can grip, but it's extremely swollen
03:30and has quite the wound
03:32here
03:34where she was caught
03:36in a trap.
03:38So we are going to start her on
03:40antibiotics and
03:42we will get her in for
03:44x-rays of those feet
03:46to see if there's any fractures.
03:48I'm worried that this
03:50foot in particular was without
03:52circulation and so
03:54it's extremely swollen and discolored.

03:58will be a great candidate

04:06we get her tucked in

05:26severe damage to both feet
05:28and so
