Treasury clamps down on fraud

Treasury is combing through dozens of reports as it looks to pick up corruption in the procurement of personal protective gear. National and provincial departments have since the start of the lockdown, spent around R18 billion on COVID-19 related emergency procurement. Treasury has been reporting to Parliament’s Appropriations Committee today on the corruption which has been dominating national headlines.
