A Chinese Paralympic medallist throws playing cards with such ferocity that they split open beer cans, eggs and the tip of a lipstick. Li Tingshen, who represented China at the 2016 Summer Paralympics and won the silver medal in the men's 50-metre breaststroke SB2 event, posted the clips on social media where they have been widely circulated. The former Paralympian can reportedly throw playing cards so hard that they are able to light matches, slice fruit, and even open glass bottles. Mr Li, who is from Zhangpu County in the coastal city of Zhangzhou in eastern China’s Fujian Province, became paralysed from the waist down following a bout of polio when he was three years old. When he was a teenager, he began learning how to throw playing cards. He became so skilled at slicing fruit that he ended up being interviewed by his local television station a few years later.
