South Korea plans to mass-produce an antibody material by the end the month...that can help treat COVID-19.
The Korean Central Disease Control Headquarters said Tuesday that the food and drug safety ministry is currently reviewing phase two and three clinical tests for the antibody-based treatment.
The ministry aims to mass-produce so-called production verification materials in September.
But it will be next year before the treatment can be used.
Antibody treatment materials are created to enlist the help of the immune system in order to fight infection and viruses.
