The purpose of this online course is to strengthen results-based management of child protection programmes through clear and practical guidance. It aims at strengthening planning, monitoring and evaluation practices including the documentation of good practices and lessons learned in Child Protection. The Child Protection Resource Pack was developed by the UNICEF Child Protection Section with contributions from the Division of Data, Analysis, Planning and Monitoring, as well as the Evaluation Office.

This course is an online adaptation of the Child Protection Resource Pack ‘How to Plan, Monitor and Evaluate Child Protection Programmes’ (published in 2015 and revised in 2018), complimented by lessons and RBM resources that have emerged since then.
This course is composed of 7 parts, including 4 technical modules. The modules include various practical examples and activities, and it is followed by a 10-question assessment. The structure is as follows:
