High-level meet on China standoff ends after 3 hours

With China showing reluctance in coming to the table for military talks to address heightened tensions in eastern Ladakh, top political and national security leaders held a high-level meet today to discuss the way forward. The meeting has ended after three hours.
The meeting was attended by senior ministers dealing with the situation along with the senior military leadership, government sources told India Today.
The meeting was called at a time when there have been multiple incidents of firing on the LAC and the situation worsens, the sources said.
