SYNOPSIS & DETAILS
Lily (Susan Sarandon) and Paul (Sam Neill) have planned a weekend with their children Jennifer (Kate Winslet) and Anna (Mia Wasikowska) at their seaside country house. For the family, this is a very special place that is full of memories and wonderful experiences. Lily's best friend Liz (Lindsay Duncan) will later join the family. The two siblings couldn't be more different: While Jennifer thinks more conservatively, the younger Anna often stands out with her rebellious nature. It happens as it had to and after the actually tranquil weekend, after an argument between the sisters, it becomes a nerve-wracking stay. Over time, more and more unspoken truths, injuries and secrets come to light, that bind family members together. But can they find each other again to grant their mother one last wish?
