Healthgiri 2020: Mask our biggest protector, says Health Minister Harsh Vardhan
Speaking at India Today Group's Healthgiri Awards event, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan emphasised the role of wearing a facial mask in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic. He warned that carelessness in following the Covid-19 advisory may continue to prove costly.
The Union health minister said advisory that asks people to wear a facial mask while going out, practice social distancing, and follow personal hygiene guidleines is important to contain the spread of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that causes Covid-19. Harsh Vardhan said not following the set of Covid-19 advisories will make it difficult to break the Covid-19 chain in India.
