The first convoy of the army passed through this tunnel on October 3, 4 days after the inauguration of the Atal Tunnel. From this tunnel, an army convoy left for Leh. Many army trucks and other vehicles were involved in this convoy. In trucks, essential daily use goods of the army were sent to the forward areas. Atal Tunnel is considered to be very important in terms of military movement in LAC areas.

3 अक्टूबर को अटल टनल के उद्घाटन के 4 दिन बाद यानी कि 7 अक्टूबर को इस सुरंग से सेना का पहला काफिला गुजरा. इस टनल से सेना का एक काफिला लेह के लिए रवाना हुआ. इस काफिले में सेना के कई ट्रक और अन्य वाहन शामिल रहे। ट्रकों में सेना के जरूरी दैनिक उपयोग के सामान को आगे के इलाकों में भेजा गया। अटल टनल को एलएसी के इलाकों में सेना की मूवमेंट के लिहाज से काफी अहम माना जा रहा है।
