"I am intending to go there but obviously we have to wait and see." said world number one Novak Djokovic on Thursday as he commented on his expectations for the Australian Open due to take place in January 2021.
The Serbian tennis player also told the media why he had not taken part in the Paris Masters which is due to go ahead next Sunday.
"I decided to skip Paris Masters because I felt I played a lot lately and I wanted to play Vienna tournament."
Another reason that he was planning on missing the tournament was due to the new point ranking system, "I am focusing on that kind of goal, of trying to build more point difference between me and the second player on the rankings and trying to achieve that historic number one goal which I have been talking about and being open about it."
