DMK MLA J Anbazhagan passed away on Wednesday morning after testing positive for coronavirus earlier last week.The popular DMK face was 61-years-old and was DMK admitted to the Rela Institute in Chennai on June 2. The hospital said the senior DMK leader was Covid-19 positive on admission and was suffering from severe acute respiratory distress. he was also ailing with other co-morbidities.
On February 14, 2017, VK Sasikala was convicted and sentenced to 4 years sentence in Bangalore Parapana Jail and gave her 24 hours to surrender. Then the governor rejected her claims to become Chief Minister. VK Sasikala then convened the party's MLA council in her capacity as the General Secretary.
