Due to rapid increase of Corona cases in chennai Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday announced full lockdown for 12 days. He said full lockdown will be implemented in the four districts subject to some relaxations for essential/emergency services.
Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said on June11 after reports of discrepancies in Chennai’s Covid-19 toll surfaced. “We don’t hide the number of deaths, we won’t gain anything if we do that,” he told reporters.Palaniswami said that capital city Chennai, which is also the largest in the state, is densely populated due to which the number of Covid-19 cases are more.
In this situation 2 days ago a Police Inspector Balamurali had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in June. More than 600 police personnel have tested positive for coronavirus
