The Indian Air Force (IAF) also known as "Bharatiya Vayu Sena” celebrates its 88th founding day on October 8, 2020. IAF was established on October 8, 1932, by the British government. Air Force Day parade is held every year at the Hindon Airbase in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad. During the Air Force Day parade, an airshow is held, in which the force exhibits its aircraft, including aerobatics demonstrations by fighter jets. Vintage aircraft are also displayed during the parade. IAF's skydiving team, Akash Ganga, performs scintillating aerial acrobats during the event. IAF is the fourth most powerful air force in the world behind the United States, Russia and China. President of India holds the rank of Supreme Commander of the IAF. Meanwhile, the Air Chief Marshal is the operational commander of the force. Air Chief Marshal RK Bhadauria is the Chief of Air Staff. Watch the video to know more.
