Born in Saharanpur, and brought up in Delhi, Sheeba Chaddha spent nearly all of her youth doing theatre. The Mirzapur actor proclaims to never have really taken an acting course in her life. Sheeba talks about growing in a conventional business family and how she faced resistance from her family when she chose to enter in films and theatre. Sheeba said, “I had just finished my Class 12th when I saw a play in Shri Ram Centre. It was one of those thunderbolt moments in my life which made me realise that I wanted to be a part of that world. I didn't know about acting, but I really wanted to be amongst them. I wanted to be on stage, and I wanted to do what they were doing. I wanted to experience what they were experiencing at that moment.” She thereafter moved to Bollywood after spending a majority of her 20s doing theatre with the likes of Rajat Kapoor, Atul Kumar and many others.
