Plight of Chennai 'Aatu Thotti' | Meat Cutting Place

Meat of goat(Mutton) and cow(Beef) are being cut in the place called Aatu Thotti near Pulianthope. It is the place where meats gets supplied all over Chennai. Building allotted for this purpose is damaged very badly and there is no room or space to dispose the bones and other unwanted things. There is no proper water supply to keep the place clean. local business people share their problems with the local MLA in return he replies he have asked chennai corporation for help. There is possibilities for communicable disease by taking these meats as the place was unhygenic and improper. The Residents and peoples pass by find very difficult to survive there as the bad odour hits them badly. After cleaning up few places MLA leaves the place and says he will take necessary action for getting building soon.
