On the second day of the third test match played between the ‘Men in Blue’ and ‘Proteas’, the game was called off early due to bad lights. The 3rd test match began in Jharkhand’s Ranchi on October 19. Umpires decided that no further play can be possible on the day due to bad lights. Rohit Sharma became the fourth batsman to hit a double hundred in Test and ODI cricket. Indian Cricket Team ended the day in a strong position at 497/9 (declared) while South Africa (9/2) trailed India by 488 runs at stumps today. While addressing the post-match press conference, Indian Cricket Team star batsman Rohit Sharma said, “I wouldn’t say it is frustrating as it is just a law of the game and the time it is supposed to finish it has to finish on that time only. I wasn’t thinking about it at all because I know the time will come and whenever it’s supposed to happen it will happen. I was trying to think positive at that point of time. I just went back happy because 199 not out I would take that any day and speaking of this particular knock it was the most challenging I would say as I haven’t played much innings like this. It was probably the most challenging one for me,” said Rohit Sharma.
