Why Coyotes Attack Dogs?

Coyotes attack dogs because they think that they are easy prey. When coyotes comes into human. territory they will attack anything they see as easy prey. Coyotes will also attack dog if they think they are a threat. Coyotes lives in group and so they have the confidence to attack a dog and successfully kill it unless the dog is a big one like German Shepherd, Tibetan Mastiff etc.
