To those tracking Yashaswini Ghorpade's climb in the Indian table tennis circuit, her transformation as a player as been apparent.
An unassuming teenager of few words, Yasahaswini has let her skills do the talking on court, clinching twin titles at the Sub-junior nationals in Chandigarh in December 2018. She was part of the Indian team that won four medals at the Bahrain Open. The only Indian in the Asian girls' squad, Yashaswini guided her team to a bronze at the World Cadet Challenge in Poland. She finished by winning the UTT West Zone National-ranking junior singles title in Thane.
Yashaswini has her eyes firmly pinned on the top-8 rankings for women in India.
