Made "Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi" with a lot of emotions: Seema Pahwa
Critically acclaimed actress Seema Pahwa, who made her directorial debut with ‘Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi’, says that she didn’t have technical knowledge of making films. She made the family-drama with a lot of emotions. She also urged to the audience to watch the film in theatres.
Seema Pawha interacted with the press at the special screening of ‘Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi’ on 1st January in Mumbai.
In the film, Ramprasad's (Naseeruddin Shah) entire family gathers under one roof for 13 days after his death, to perform and observe the Hindu traditions and rituals called the tehrvi. During the course, the family’s dynamics, politics, and insecurities come out, and then they realize that the importance of people and things are only evident in retrospect.
When Pahwa was asked about the challenges she faced as a first time director in releasing the film in the theatres during the pandemic, she said:

The film premiered at the Mumbai Film Festival on 17th October 2019.
