Farmers’ protest: Unions, Centre begin 7th round of talks

The seventh round of talks between farmers’ unions and the central government on farm laws began on January 4. Government and the farmers have held six rounds of talks so far. Both of them agreed on two issues of stubble burning and power subsidies. Farmers are adamant on their demand to roll back the three laws and a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price. Meanwhile, farmers’ protest entered 40th day on January 4.
