Law expert: Emergency does not mean parliament automatically suspended

Law professor Shad Saleem Faruqi told a virtual forum organised by Bersih 2.0 today that the declaration of emergency itself does not automatically suspend any law, institution or procedure.
The constitutional expert said there is a difference between the proclamation of an emergency and the emergency ordinance which provides the law.
