Unruly scenes were witnessed in Rajya Sabha after the Upper House resumed proceedings on February 3. Three Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MPs Sanjay Singh, ND Gupta & Sushil Gupta trooped into the well & raised slogans against the government over farmers’ protest, following which they were asked to withdraw from the House. The three AAP MPs resorted to sloganeering over farmers’ protest as the Rajya Sabha reconvened. Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu asked the MPs to return to their seats, but the MPs continued their protest as they raised slogans against the government. After warnings, Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu Rajya Sabha Chairman invoked Rule 255 (withdrawal of member) & asked the AAP MPs to withdraw from the Upper House for the day.
