Our Entertainment Editor speaks with Claes Bang and Hanna Alstrom about Vertical Entertainment's WWII Period Drama The Affair.

Liesel (Hanna Alström) and Hana (Carice van Houten) are best friends who are secretly in love with one another, yet are both living a married life of luxury in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s. Liesel and her husband Viktor (Claes Bang) commission architect Rainer von Abt (Karel Roden) to build them a modern-day masterpiece of a home - the Tugendhat Villa in Brno. Years later as World War II approaches, the Jewish roots of both Viktor and Hana's husband Oskar (Martin Hofmann) draw Nazi attention. Liesel and Viktor flee the country with their children in attempt to save their family, while the Germans take away Oskar forcing Hana and her son to stay in Czechoslovakia and prove their loyalty to the Nazi regime. It's a story of love and life-changing decisions.
