Hundreds marched in Buenos Aires on Wednesday to claim for justice over the death of Argentine football legend Diego Maradona.

Maradona's youngest son Diego Fernando and her mother Veronica Ojeda, who marched surrounded by a large group of bodyguards wearing the Argentine shirt, told that she was there to accompany his son and to "demand justice".

Maradona's ex-wife Claudia Villafane and daughters Dalma and Giannina , with tears coursing down their cheeks, took part of the demonstration and waved to Diego's fans who gathered around them singing and cheering in support.

The demo was called through social media after a series of phone calls and audios between Maradona's doctors and his working team came to light and were published as part of a documentary causing outrage among fans, friends and the family of the soccer legend.

Maradona died in November 25th, 2020 and the Argentine justice is pursuing an investigation to determine possible wrongdoing on his caring after a brain surgery earlier that month.

The 60-year-old former player died of heart attack at a house in a gated community of Buenos Aires where he was living during his rehabilitation.
