March 8 is recognized as International Women's Day, but in the Philippines, the month of March is observed as Natonal Women's Month.
In observance of this yearly celebration, "Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK)" featured the story of Rebecca, a Filipina who grew up in poverty but became the CEO of her own company now based in Canada.
Angeline Quinto stars as Rebecca in the two-part "MMK" episode "Women Can" and "Women Do."
The singer-actress sat down for a PEP Spotlight interview with Jimpy Anarcon and talked about her latest "MMK" acting stint, life without her adoptive mother Mama Bob, being real about her body enhancements, and sharing a bit about her love life.
Angeline wants to tell other women, "Bilang isang babae, marami tayong kayang gawin.
"Darating at darating ang panahon na manghihina tayo, pero puwede namang magpahinga.
"Di ba, yan ang laging sinasabi? Pero hinding-hindi ka susuko."
