About 15% of couples have fertility problems,

As for the causes of poor male fertility, they include the following:

1- Abnormal sperm production or malfunction of sperm due to undescended testicles

2- Problems with the delivery of sperm due to a blockage in the testicle,

damage or injury to the genitals

3- Pollution such as pesticides, radiation and other chemicals,

smoking cigarettes, alcohol use, marijuana, and anabolic steroids

4- Repeated exposure to heat, as is the case in saunas or hot baths,

to raise the body temperature and may affect sperm production

5- Damage related to cancer and its treatments,

which include radiation or chemotherapy

may impair sperm production

6- Varicocele, which is an edema in the veins that drain blood from the testicle,

and it is necessary to maintain the temperature of the testicle lower than the temperature of the rest of the body

when the blockage occurs, the testicle temperature rises, and the sperm cells are less able to move.

7- Sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis and chlamydia,

and infections of the urinary tract and pelvic organs

8- Ejaculation reflux, where when the sperm reaches the urethra,

they return to the bladder instead of exiting the areola at the end of the penis and this condition can result from diabetes,

multiple sclerosis, spinal injuries,

and many medications used to treat the prostate,

as well as surgeries or Injuries to the bladder and urethra.

9- Hormonal disorders where the production of sperm cells depends on the stimulation of the hormone (GnRH) by the hypothalamus , the pituitary gland (LH, FSH) and the testicle itself (androgen).

A deficiency in any of these hormones can lead to a disturbance in sperm production.

10 - Chromosomal disorders, as these disorders can lead to poor development of the external and internal genital organs, as well as dysfunction in them.

11 - Presence of an imbalance in the immune system;

The antibodies attack the sperm.

12 - Have problems with sexual intercourse; Such as difficulty achieving an erection,
