Alert Mumbai railway pointsman saves child from getting run over by train
Mayur Shelkhe, who works as a pointsman with the Central Railway (Mumbai division), risked his life to save a child from being run over by a train at Vangani railway station. The incident took place around 5 pm on Saturday (April 17).
A CCTV footage shows the child losing his balance while walking at platform 2 and falling off on the railway track. He tried climbing the platform but couldn't. Pointsman Mayur Shelkhe saw the boy on the railway track and jumped into action. He quickly pulled the child towards the platform side, just a few seconds before the train arrived there.
