Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said he had "fruitful conversation" with US President Joe Biden about the prevailing Covid-19 situation in India and the United States. The two leaders spoke to each other over a telephonic call on Monday evening. In a tweet, PM Modi thanked Joe Biden for the support that the US has decided to provide India in its fight against Covid-19.
Several countries have come forward to help India as the country fights the second wave of Covid-19. Countries have reached out to India to provide assistance with medical supplies such as raw materials needed for vaccines, critical covid-related medical supplies, oxygen generation equipment, and for an enhanced capability for smoother transportation and storage of oxygen.
