Lockdown in Goa till May 3 as Covid-19 cases surge

Amid a surge in Covid-19 infections and deaths, a lockdown has been imposed in Goa till May 3. Roads in Panaji wore a deserted look as police were on strict vigil to enforce Covid guidelines. Essential services and industrial activities are allowed. Borders will remain open for essential service transportation. Public transport will remain shut. Casinos, hotels, pubs will also be closed under the Covid guidelines.
