Former Team India cricketer Manoj Tiwari stepped into politics after saying goodbye to cricket. He could not leave his mark in international cricket but what a brilliant performance he has shown in politics. Actually, TMC's young candidate and former cricketer Manoj Tiwari, who contested from Shibpur seat in West Bengal, started the political innings with the victory, he won by 32339 votes. He defeated BJP candidate Ratindranath Chakraborty by a large margin.
टीम इंडिया के पूर्व क्रिकेटर मनोज तिवारी ने क्रिकेट को अलविदा कहने के बाद राजनीति में कदम रखा। इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट में वो अपनी छाप नहीं छोड़ पाए लेकिन राजनीति में उन्होंने क्या शानदार परफॉरमेंस कर दिखाया है। दरअसल पश्चिम बंगाल के शिबपुर सीट से चुनाव लड़ने वाले TMC के युवा उम्मीदवार और पूर्व क्रिकेटर मनोज तिवारी ने जीत के साथ राजनीतिक पारी का आगाज किया है, उन्होंने 32339 वोट से जीत हासिल की है। उन्होंने BJP के उम्मीदवार रतिन्द्रनाथ चक्रवर्ती को बड़े मतों से हरा दिया है।
