Face mites are found on human skin. They are most commonly found on the face, hence the common name, but they can be found just about anywhere on the human body. These arthropods are tiny and have short lifespans. Originally they were believed to be harmless, but now there's research to suggest they may be a cause for some skin diseases like rosecea. No matter where you live, it's likely that you have face mites!

Size: 0.4mm or smaller
Diet: skin oil
Lifespan: 2 weeks
