West Bengal Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay may defy the Centre’s order to report to DOPT, North Block, New Delhi on May 31 following his deputation to the Ministry of Public Grievances and Pensions on Friday. Alapan Bandyopadhyay was ordered to move to the Centre, on the day he was slated to retire, within hours after a political row erupted over Mamata Banerjee not attending a Cyclone Yaas review meeting with PM Narendra Modi on Friday.
