'We're Not Afraid of the UP Government': Munnawar Rana's Daughters After Being Put on House Arrest
Renowned Urdu poet Munnawar Rana’s daughters have been placed under house arrest in Uttar Pradesh. The two daughters, Summaiya Rana and Uzma Parveen had called for people to gather outside Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s residence. They had asked the people to get “thalis” to protest against the deplorable state of unemployment in the State and the government’s poor handling of the coronavirus crisis. The Wire spoke to both Summaiya and Uzma regarding their say on the matter.
