Prime Minister Narendra Modi is back in the hot seat to drive India’s Covid-19 vaccination efforts, eight weeks after the Centre had announced a liberalized vaccination policy. The vaccine guidelines 2.0 that kicked in on May 1, allowing states to buy 25 percent of doses from vaccine makers to inoculate the 18-44 age group at government facilities, have been junked. Vaccine guidelines 3.0 are repackaged vaccine guidelines 1.0. Now, the Centre will buy and give the jabs to the states free of cost. Watch this video.
