Improper handling of raw chicken can lead to food poisoning or even death. Keep these 5 tips in mind!
1. Use a separate, nonporous cutting board for raw chicken.
2. Store raw chicken in zip-seal bags, and never reuse those bags.
3. Keep raw chicken in the refrigerator no longer than two days.
4. Wash your hands immediately after handling raw chicken and avoid contaminating nearby surfaces.
5. Don't wash raw chicken. You risk contaminating the sink and surrounding surfaces.
