[Eng Sub] Trailer of Keita's new Special Drama "Love That Begins with Lies" on NTV's chat show Shûichi.
Yes, I will be subbing the full episode of the drama.
Plot summary:
The superb romantic comedy "Love That Begins with a Lie," is a story about 4 men and women who have "lies" for some reason. Keita Machida will play the role of Kamoshita Junnosuke, female lead Tsubasa Honda's good-looking yet narcissistic and mean love interest.
After her boyfriend of 10 years lied to her and broke off their engagement, Riko Kasai (Honda) came to Tokyo from Aomori to find someone who can make her happy. She moved in with her cousin Yuri Shinohara (Yamamoto), a charismatic retailer, and asked her to take her to famous spots in Ginza and teach her how to hit on guys.
They were approached by Haruhiko Izumi (Kamio), a puppyish boy. "Excuse me, can I have three minutes? My senpai really wanted to talk to you," he said.
They followed him and met Junnosuke Kamoshita (Machida), who works for a major trading company and claims himself as a city boy. After a while, Riko had too many drinks and started to complain about her ex-boyfriend to Junnosuke in Tsugaru dialect. Just then, Junnosuke realized Haruhiko and Yuri were gone and he was left with the drunk Riko.
Yuri also found out the next morning that Haruhiko was actually a "freeter" and had lied about being a junior employee at a major trading company.
I don't have time for a shallow person like you," Yuri said to Haruhiko. After such a bad encounter, the two girls decided to participate in an online werewolf game to meet new guys. But once again, it's Junnosuke and Haruhiko who showed up in the game."
Keita's comment on the character and the drama:
"Since this is a rom-com, I'll be taking on a new challenge, such as how much I can bring out the unique sense of humor through my role, in this shooting.
Junnosuke is such an irritating character to the extent that I don't think we can be friends, but I want to play this role so that everyone who sees it will laugh and enjoy it even while they are annoyed (by the character).
I think this character will be more intense and weirder than any other characters I have played in the past. I hope I can create a fun drama along with my co-stars and all the staff, and that everyone will laugh and enjoy the show."
This is a SP drama so it's only gonna be 1 episode. According to the website it will air on 6/27 at 11pm JST for 55 mins.
