'Gauteng was prepared for third wave'

Gauteng is the epicentre of the third wave in the country, and it seems things just keep getting worse by the day. However, the province's Health Portfolio Committee chair, Rebecca Phaladi-Digamela, says the committee is happy with the way Gauteng prepared for the third wave. But she says it's disappointed with people’s behaviour during the pandemic. This comes amid growing fears from doctors and nurses in the province of being overwhelmed by the surge in infections. Hospitals have had to suspend emergency surgeries to make more capacity available for COVID-19. Phaladi-Digamela spoke to Gareth Edwards earlier.
