Track: Ben (Dirty Water)
Artist: LE Attol
Genre: R&B
This track is about there being cities, reservations of the First Nations, such as grassy narrows near Thunder Bay, Ontario where people are forced to go to another town to get access to drinking water and water safe enough to even bathe in. This is a problem plaguing many reservation areas, to the extent of 70-100 such locations with boiled water restrictions in effect. The most severe of course resulting in people going to another town for drinking water. Not something that should happen in a first world country, and yet politicians have failed promises in Canada to solve the problems Canadians face. During Covid, of course this means that citizens are forced to neglect the stay at home order sometimes just so that they can take a bath. The solution put in place was the provisioning of cases of water that were insubstantial for the washing of extremities. This song is dedicated to My native friend Ben, who recently passed away at a young age. I wanted his name to mean something, and that is the dirty water problems faced by Canadian citizens with no resolution in sight.
