Sale threw an immaculate inning in the 3rd, striking out all 3 batters faced on 9 pitches. This was his 3rd career immaculate inning, also doing so on 5/8/19 at BAL (7th inning) and 6/5/19 at KC (8th inning) He joined Sandy Koufax as the only pitchers to throw 3 immaculate innings (source: MLB Stats).
