This family reviewed the footage of flooding caught on their security camera. Suddenly, the mud water entered the yard and flooded the entire neighborhood within minutes. The water level increased rapidly, causing damage and destruction. Initially, the trashcans started to swim away. Minutes later, the parked vehicles along with a backyard house got washed away in the flood. Luckily, the family took refuge on the roof until they were rescued.

00:00Oh
00:23I need water. I'm beside that old truck. Mm-hmm
00:31Yeah
00:35Yeah, there was no getting out of there going the other way because it flooded that road down there
00:40Yeah, I thought it exits first. When Ollie went through it, he
00:45got going. Mm-hmm. And then
00:48He got deep. He tried to back up. When he backed up, it picked the van up and turned it
00:54And he, when it hit the house, he's like, I gotta get out of this, we'll find out
00:59There it goes right there
01:01He held on to the house and he said that thing was popping and crackling and everything
01:07Did somebody save him or? Yeah, Kenneth Morris
01:10He was floating down through there
01:19That's giving me the chills
01:21I like a lot of cheese at her house. I got it from Nebraska. Nebraska? Sweet.
01:40Yeah, that's crazy
01:45I really needed to see this. It's kind of helping me
01:50I want to see how it is. There he goes, see how deep it was. Mm-hmm
01:58Watch when he gets to the four-way, or the three-way, you know how it dives down? Mm-hmm
02:08It drives so fast
02:12He goes in there and he said, I made it that far and I had to stop
02:15Stop
02:20Well, was he trying to go straight or was he trying to turn left?
02:24Maybe he would turn left
02:27Yeah, because it was coming from there first, so there's probably like a lot of forest right there
02:37Watch that little green patch of grass, you can watch how it just starts disappearing
02:45Does this one show Grover's house going away? Mm-hmm. Did y'all just see that play?
03:04It's making me nauseous
03:06I mean, I'm not saying it was easy for us, but compared to other people's survivor stories, we had it easy, you know?
03:26Well, we was awake and aware and a lot of people woke up to it, you know, and I think that's worth it
03:36Yeah, that's over at City Hall, isn't it?
04:06Yeah, I think when I was trying to call, I think the cell phone, it wasn't working at that point
04:17Yeah, it's covering my porch, yeah
04:27Yep, that's more over there than it is back here
04:36Over where the bridge is at?
04:38Down toward this end of town, it's got to keep moving or it starts backing up, you know what I mean?
04:50The water is actually backing up and still coming from upstream
05:06Yeah, that's when it starts
05:16Yeah, those cars down there where the city parks their stuff are like
05:20Yeah, see the water level back there?
05:22Yeah, it's up over that one vehicle
05:26Man, it's all flooding
05:28You can see the tractor come across and then the Ford truck, it'll work its way out to the road
05:38Yeah, it's all flooding
05:40Yeah, it's flooding
05:42It's flooding
05:44It's flooding
05:46It's flooding
05:48It's flooding
05:50It's flooding
05:52It's flooding
05:54It's flooding
05:56It's flooding
05:58It's flooding
06:16You can see that tractor coming
06:18There's a little surge of water
06:26This was all less than 15 minutes, wasn't it?
06:51And I'll show you why probably some houses were swept off foundation.
07:08Vehicles don't do good in water.
07:11Nope.
07:13Like air tanks full of air and tires, and they get light.
07:20And they're floating, they bang into stuff.
07:23That's probably why a lot of houses got moved.
07:26When we thought it was the flood, that we didn't have anybody think about everything else going in it.
07:50Okay, there's a surge.
07:59See right behind the 40th floor?
08:05Yep.
08:07Oh, okay.
08:10His porch is starting to go over there.
08:12Drivers.
08:20There's a power flicker.
08:22Yeah.
08:23There goes one of the trucks down the road.
08:43See the Nissan working its way into the spring to the right?
08:48I see it.
08:51Yep.
08:54It's not too long, then you're just going to be able to come in.
09:14There goes the first floor.
09:18I see the truck pulling up, look at it.
09:22Yep.
09:23Here comes yours.
09:25Oh my God.
09:35Dang.
09:37That took a lot of force to move that house.
09:41And I see why yours is turned the way it is.
09:44Mm-hmm.
09:45There goes hers.
09:47Ours is moving pretty good, too.
09:50And I see why yours is turned the way it is.
09:53Mm-hmm.
09:54There goes hers.
09:56Ours is moving pretty good, too.
10:13There goes my, there was my, where it finally rests.
10:17Yep.
10:20Mm-hmm.
10:32See the flashlight there?
10:33Yep, yep.
10:34That's when the house goes.
10:35That's when this house goes over there, isn't it?
10:37Yep.
10:38Then it cuts off right here pretty quick, doesn't it?
10:43See the truck and the other one?
10:46Yep.
10:50And that's, that's why I didn't see her vehicle anymore, because it.
10:55See the power lines there?
10:56Yep.
10:58Yep.
10:59That's when the house is.
11:02Making its complete turn.
11:06Forget about the house doing that.
11:09There's that piece of wood.
11:19Yep.
11:29Apparently there was another surge after that, wasn't it?
11:31Mm-hmm.
11:33That's when it broke up upstream.
11:35Yeah, and that's when it moved all them other vehicles down, down the road.
11:38Yep.
11:41Because that Altima was way up above.
11:44Oh, yeah.
11:45And it probably built up right here.
11:47And when it built up there, that's when it caused all the damage down.
11:50Downstream.
11:52You can see the stuff in that crack behind the house going.
11:55See it?
11:56Yep.
11:58Yep, I see it right there.
11:59You see the side of it where you couldn't before.
12:11There goes his truck.
12:18There goes his truck.
12:31Is that his house right there?
12:33Yep.
