The chilli pepper is the fruit of plants from the genus Capsicum, members of the nightshade family, Solanaceae. Chilli peppers are widely used in many cuisines to add spiciness to dishes. The substances that give chilli peppers their intensity when ingested or applied topically are capsaicin.

Growing Chilli plants in containers or in the garden are very easy. Only a few plants are sufficient for single-family use.

The taste of fresh chilli is much better than what you buy from the supermarkets.
