Cyclone Shaheen is likely to form over northeast Arabian Sea on September 30 night or October 1 morning. “The low-pressure area created due to Cyclone Storm Gulab is now in the Gujarat coast, Northeast Arabian sea and will intensify into a Depression by Sept 30. From Oct 1, it will become a new cyclone named 'Shaheen',” said RK Jenamani, Senior Scientist, IMD to ANI. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the current weather condition is likely to bring heavy to very heavy rain in Saurashtra, Gujarat and Konkan region. Heavy rainfall is also likely at isolated places in Bihar till October 3. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the north & adjoining central Arabian Sea and along and off Gujarat and north Maharashtra coasts till October 2. Watch the video to know more.
