Twitch’s Source Code
and Streamer Payouts , Have Been Leaked Online, in Apparent Hack.
According to Engadget, hackers claim to have accessed the "entirety of Twitch.tv.".
'Video Games Chronicle' says Amazon-owned Twitch is aware of the breach but hasn't publicly responded yet. .
In addition to accessing company data,
proprietary code, creator payments and more.
the hackers claim to have stolen the site's mobile, desktop and console Twitch clients.
User passwords, addresses and banking info appear to be safe for the time being, but the hackers also said this is just "part one" of the attack.
Engadget recommends activating two-factor authentication for your Twitch account as a precaution.
It is not currently clear what spawned the attack,
but it's possible that it could be related to the recent hate raids plaguing the platform...
... because the hackers called Twitch's community a "disgusting toxic cesspool."
