Sandy started his career as a choreographer in the famous dance show Maanada Mayilada Season 1 telecasted in Kalaignar TV in 2005. The show was hosted by Kala (choreographer)|Kala Master who is his guru gave him an opportunity to choreograph a team in the first season. He choreographed Sathish Krishnan and Jayashree throughout the season and ended up as the winners of the season. He was also seated in the panel of judges in various seasons of Maanada Mayilada. He is one of the judges in Kings of Dance (season 2)|Kings of Dance season 2. He worked as a choreographer for The Tleugu and the Kannada language shows "Challenge Show" and "Kuniyona Bara".
