Runner's flock to Margate beach for worlds toughest one mile race

Hundreds of runners flocked to a Kent beach to tackle what's known as the world's hardest one-mile race.

650 athletes took part in the leg-burning Red Bull Quicksand Race on Margate beach on Saturday.

It is the second time the race has been held in Thanet with huge 23ft sandcastles, towering sand rollers, and plunging trenches and one of those who took on and completed the mammoth test was kmfm's Ismail Khwaja.
