Winter arrives in Kent: First gritters to salt Kent roads tonight

Highways England has announced that the first gritters of the winter will be out on Kent's roads this evening, as temperatures are set to drop below freezing in some areas.

Kent County Council has confirmed that main roads throughout the county will be treated from 10 o clock tonight.
