Family carers provide 149 million hours of unpaid care across the country

Thousands of carers here in Kent are among the seven million in the country propping up the care system and looking after their loved ones unpaid.

That’s according to Social Market Foundation think-tank, that found that family carers are providing 149 million hours of unpaid care across the country - which is the same as 4 million full time paid carers.
